Are you the Data Steward we are looking for? At APG Netherlands, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in our data management team. As a Data Steward at APG, you will work in a dynamic environment where innovation, responsibility and collaboration are key.

What are you going to do?

As a Data Steward, you are responsible for managing and improving the quality of our data within a specific data domain. You are the point of contact for internal customers and colleagues when it comes to data quality. You will analyze the current state of our data, identify problems and work on solutions. In addition, you will play an important role in drawing up best practices and quality guidelines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Point
    • Fulfilling a source of information and monitoring the progress of the follow-up of questions about data quality.
    • Deliver timely support to internal customers and colleagues.
    • Communicating about and coordinating data-related matters with other colleagues inside and outside the data organization.
  2. Data Analysis
    • Analyzing the quality of data according to proven methods.
    • Substantiating reasons for any reduced quality and the possibilities to improve it.
    • Mapping of (potential) data buyers within the assigned data domain.
    • Analyzing data using Data Management tooling.
  3. Assessment
    • Assessing the quality of data within the assigned data domain, taking into account the context in which the data is collected.
    • Setting up best practices and QA guidelines together with data stewards from other data domains.
  4. Assignment formulation
    • Formulating assignments for data cleansing based on data analysis.
    • Coordinate with the Data Owner about the data issues and their handling (working method and planning).

What do you bring?
•    A completed college or university education, preferably in a field such as Computer Science, Data Science or Business Administration.
•    Demonstrable experience with data analysis and data management.
•    Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the field of data.
•    Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
